Couldn't agree more with the above posts. I used to visit the GSC site daily and when the forum was dropped I sent an e-mail asking why and their reply was very dismissive as if the forum wasn't worth their effort.

The PIOS tour is so competitive that it makes for great viewing and should definately be streamed. The EASB comps should be covered too. If people realised the fantastic quality of these players fighting for MT spots then maybe someone might even find a way of making money out of publicising them.
I often use large words I don't really understand in an attempt to appear more photosynthesis.

        So...

        McGill 2-1 Burden
O'Neill 3-0 Lisowski (Jamie looks like he's flying at the moment, good results in last PIOS and Pro-Ticket - good bet to win this one I reckon eh Val?!?)
        Einsle 1-1 Portman
        Muldoon 4-0 Ajaib

First to 5 goes through to semis.

Lisowski looks almost certain for MT place next year now, great news for the kid knowing what he's been through over the last few years.

Encouraging for McGill too, who moves into top 8.

Jak Jones is very well placed also, amazing achievement in his first PIOS season.

With the pressure off, Alfie will do some damage over the last 3 events... shame about that really cos he could cause a few people to miss out on valuable ranking points, but if he's paid his entry fees he has every right to play in the rest of the events!

It is a shame that the GSC forums bit the dust as even though they weren't the busiest, there was some interesting discussion on there.
I too miss the old GSC forum, but sadly the new site owners haven't added a forum yet.

The prizze money has been increased slightly and is list on the GS PIOS page... it's the first two rounds who now get more money. The winner etc still are the same, so more encouragement in the early rounds.

Jamie went 3-0 up, but Jack's back to 3-2 now so it's getting very tense!!

Message for GoldenGirl. I am very keen on the Amateur game, particularly EASB tournaments and league snooker. The grass roots snooker is as strong and competitive as ever and you are right about tense and exciting matches. I support your interest and welcome more information from members.

Farakh Ajaib is 18 year old from Accrington.
Certainly having a good Pios#5, but so is Anthony, beating newly crowned World Amateur Champ Alfie Burden.

Its good to see a lot of the younger players in the top 8 this time around.

                              Latest from Pios
Anthony is 3-3 with Jamie O'Neill, came back from 3-1 down, sounds like a cracking match. Go on Ants.
Farakh Ajaib won other Semi 5-3, great result for the youngster.

                                For the record
Another cracking young Scot, Michael Leslie apparently has played Farakh a couple of times, won both matches 3-0 & 3-1, it appears Goldengirl that Farakh is well known among the players.
