Hi jon, I wouldn't be interested in puting a comp on where bigs starts are given. I'd like to see good players competing on scratch or as near to it. with a 70 start you only have mess the table up and it all over. "I want to see good snooker".
    I'll keep you posted.
    Hi Magicman,
The truth is I just want to play competaive snooker and I can't find any decent comps around. If I could get it going on a reguar basis, all the better.
If my club won't play ball, I might look a some other clubs in the area to stage the comp.
I've been playing at the club for three years now and they only had 3 tables reclothed in that time, so the tables are well over due reclothing. I won't play on them so I woulden't ask any one else to.

Yer I'd b intrested in a snooker comp, defo in this area. I'd pay 15 quid if there were a few frames on it, 20 if the prize money is filtered down. Problem that rileys tables I ve played on r slow, not the best, however great 2 hear of a poss comp ! I have asked clubs before about running this sort of thing or how to get in the local league and they look at u like u ve shot their nan ! Plate comp good idea 2 if were travelling there, we all want 2 play snooker and play for a while. Keeps people in the club 2 !

Thanks for responding billy. I know what you mean. If it goes ahead I'll keep you up dated.
Anyone else interested? more of this please.:snooker:

PS: try the Harrow and district league, I was in the hammersmith and district league last year but they did'nt have enough teams to run it properly, so my team pulled out. Shame as I was doing well winning player of the year award.

Used to have some good ones many years ago in Louth, Lincolnshire. We used to have some very good players too. Ray Edmonds, Terry Griffiths, Patsy Fagan, Doug Mountjoy, John Virgo and others that do not remember at the minute - Senior Moments!
