    This was unavoidable because of a change of date to the European Championships in Romania and obviously even English players can't be in two places at once!!

      I'm sure the time will come, one day, when the EASB can get through a whole season without having to change its schedule because other organisations change theirs!

        Yeah and one day The EASB will;
        • Treat Referees with the respect the deserve
        • Stop treating Snooker Halls like they owe them something
        • Use FREE resources like TSF to advertise and inform people of events
        • and maybe work with The SPA to develop a uniformed calendar so things like this will not happen again

        But I can not see it.

          Maybe one day the EASB will get some people to volunteer their services to help the organisation run smoothly.

          But I can not see it.

            Well maybe the rebels will win the day on Sunday, and succeed in their vote of no confidence in the current board (there's a Facebook event set up for th purpose!).

            I really do wonder if those who knock the EASB have the slightest inkling of how much work is actually involved in running the show.

              I would stick to making comments on a subject you know something about if I were you.

                What's your beef about referees? Apart from not being able to afford to pay for more refereeing opportunities, most referees seem reasonably happy amongst those I've spoken to. At least the current board pushed through a more reasonable daily allowance for them a few years ago. When I started refereeing the fee was just £10, and on more than one occasion I paid more than that to get out of the car park on leaving the venue!

                And just what could liaising with the SPA have done to stop the EBSA changing its tournament dates that created this clash? Have the SPA approached EASB with a view to working with them?
