i am pretty confident that Jamie just needs to get through to the quarters here and he is safe. He will have 580 points and i think that should be enough. Also I hope alfie goes all the way, he has been on great form and will be better seeded if he qualifies through PIOS than winning the IBSF title, it could make a difference in the qualifying next year

Alfie takes his place as IBSF winner = it goes chronologically. So he wouldn't get a pios seeding.

Does that not mean that if he finishes top 8 on PIOS that he will get PIOS seeding? Am I reading that wrong?

                    http://www.worldsnooker.com/files/Mi...02010-2011.pdf

In the event of a player qualifying more than once the selection will be based on chronological order
with the first event in the calendar counting as the qualifying place on the Tour. Seeding will be
based on the highest seeded qualification route regardless of chronological order.

so that is what it looks like now. Top 4 are in my eyes 100% safe. The two Jamie's are literally there and it would have to take 2/3 players lower down the list to go to at least the semi's in event 8 (if my calcualtions are right) to take either Jamie out of the equation (unless Jamie goes out next round and something like a Cragie / Burden final). Anyway lots of possibilities so i am going to finish up now and wait for the next rounds :-)

                            Jamie Jones isn't qualified already.

If he were to finish at number one on the Welsh rankings that would come at a later date than the end of the PIOS as they Welsh finals weekend isn't until 22-23 May.

So Jamie will get his place from the PIOS

As of today the only two players currently on the PIOS who have qualified via other routes are Alfie Burden and Jak Jones.

The forum isn't for people to advertise their web sites - as you can see at the top of the page Ferret is advertising for people to take banner ads. not much point in that if everyone post their links for free on the threads.
