Some news from the under-21 WC currently ubder way in Ireland

        http://www.foulfour.com/foul4com-new...the-line.html?
China's Li Hang is the man to beat in Letterkenny as he maintained his unblemished record at the top of Group B with four wins from four without dropping a single frame yet.

However he is now having it all his own way as Thailand's Yuttapop Pakpoj and Israel's Shachar Ruberg keep hot on his heels with four wins each.

However Hang and Pakpoj face off against each other tomorrow afternoon when something will have to give in the battle for the No.1 spot in the group and possibly top seeding in the knockout stages.

Group A sees Robert Carlise and Vincent Muldoon lead the way with Carlise having a 4-0 win over Mostafa Gebaly today to make it three wins from three. Muldoon also ran out a 4-0 winner today as he saw off Al Urfy Bairaq for his third win of the campaign and will have a tough match tomorrow against Thailand's Patchara Mayoe before facing Carlise on Thursday and Li Yan on Friday.

Yan is also in with a shout of the top spot after three wins from four and it could go all the way with Friday's match against Muldoon a big deciding match in that group.

Other pre tournament favorite Stephen Craigie also notched up his third win today with a solid 4-0 win over Khalid Khamali with Khamali, Devaney and Zielinski competing for the other three spots at this early stage with two wins.

Stephen's younger brother Sam is firmly in control of Group D with four wins from four and should join his brother in the knockout stages this Saturday.

Most of the remaining groups are still fairly competitive at this early stage although England's Nick Jennings is looking good for Group J with three wins to date.

Play continues tomorrow and live scoring and live streaming are available here: http://www.esnooker.pl/ .

Anyone knows who'll advance to the KO stages in Letterkenny? Can't find this info at IBSF or elsewhere.

There are 10 round-robin groups, so how do we get down to 32 players?

          > top 3 of every group, two top-seeds get a bye into last 16
          > top 3 of every group, added by two best numbers 4
          > top 3 of every group, numbers 4 play extra round to reduce to total of 32
          > ...

Don't think luca was given much option and was advised to play in ptc.
Englands players are Stephen and Sam Craigie and Nick Jennings.

Seems to be numerous breaks over 50 at the u21s, are they using standard club tables for these matches and not the star tables?

                              I need some help please.

The IBSF website says there are seven players in Group J. There is no mention of Daniel Dempsey.

And yet we hear that group winner Nick Jennings beat Dempsey but hasn’t played Daniel O’Regan.

Initially I assumed the names had been mixed up. However, Ferret reports above that O’Regan has played Dempsey.

                              Can anyone explain?

                              Thanks

                              Tim
