Great last two frames with a couple of cracking snookers laid by Sam with pink and black left to almost steal the frame and then a superb 90-odd to seal the championship. Well done from a fellow Geordie!!!!!!!:-)

Final Day – IBSF World Under 21 Snooker Championship 2010 Li Hang (China) V Sam Craigie (England) First Session Li hang starts by taking the first frame by the score of 64 points to 9. Th second frame of this best of 17 final is Sam’s with a marvellous century break of 102. Sam also takes the third frame by 84 points to 45. Li Hang plays a very good tactical frame in the next and wins the frame by 73 points to 1 to level the match at 2-2. Sam wins a very low scoring frame in the next to lead again by 3 frames to 2. Li Hang was to go on a roll in the last3 frames of the first session, Hang managed breaks of 65 and 64 in frames 6 and 7, and managed to win frame 8 by 62 to 34 to close out the session leading 5 frames to 3. Second Session Li hang came into the second session where he left off from the first taking frame 9 by 53 points to 32. Sam Craigie was now 6-3 down and needed to dig deep to try to close the gap. The comeback started with a break of 86 in the next frame to reduce the gap to 6-4, Sam convincingly won the next as well by 65 points to 8. Sam had reduced the gap to just 1 frame. The next frame saw Sam put together a 57 break to help him level the match for the first time since the score was 3-3. Sam then won his fourth frame on the trot to lead the match by 7 frames to 6. Hang needed to compose himself to get back into the match and that he did by making a break of 99 in frame 14 to level the match at 7 frames all. With 3 frames to play it was anybody’s match to win. Sam settled after a great pot on a red to finish with a 96 break and leave himself needing just one more frame to win the match and the title. The penultimate frame started well for Craigie but a miss from Craigie on 46 left Hang a chance to come back and level the match with a frame score of 69 to 46. The match had come down to the Final Frame, the atmosphere had been fantastic all week at the Northwest Snooker Club, and all the spectators were on the edge of their seats as the two Finalists came back to the table to play the deciding frame. Sam Craigie made the final frame his own with one visit and only missing the final yellow while on a break of 98 stopped him from closing out the Championships with a century break. Sam Craigie is the IBSF World Under 21 snooker Champion for 2010.
