  • Inter-Club Matches

    Hi,

I'm trying to organise a few inter-club matches across the South (or as far away as I can persuade people to travel anyway).

I haven't fully decided on the format yet, but it will probably be a team of 5 players, each playing a best of 3 frame match. The team would be chosen by the club and would consist of players living within a certain radius of the club, something like 20 miles perhaps.

There could be a home and away leg to the match, so both venues benefit, ideally they would be played on consecutive weekends.

If anyone has any suggestions of any clubs that might like to participate then let me know and I'll get in contact with them. Fareham, Woking and Romford are already on my list, but any other suggestions would be gratefully received. The club would need to have at least two match tables and be able to put together a team of century breakers.

    Thanks
    Anthony

You could contact Rileys Plymouth. They have got quite a few very good players.

If you're looking for consecutive weekends, that might limit the serious players you can attract, because there's such a full calendar of EASB events, plus, of course, the PTC events etc.

@ bongo, thanks I'll try and get in contact with them.

@Souwester, Its not mandatory for it to be consecutive weekends but I think they should be played as close together as possible.

        Thanks

Anthony - you could set up to Challenge the EASB Team Champs - Daniel Ward and co from the West Midlands. I'm sure they'll be up for the challenge - and West Mids is a big strong snooker area, you might find a few clubs interested in the area.
Try Pockets at Kidderminster for instance - they're on Facebook

@Janie thanks for the idea, I'll add them to my list of people to contact.

@SnookerDad, the manager of Chandlers Ford Snooker Club phoned me and we discussed the idea, thanks for letting him know!
