Highest break on the day was an 84 by Wayne Martin.

The Nottingham Grand Prix Event 8 provided another excellent days snooker with a quality field in attendance. The group stages were again in use due to a lower than expected turnout.

The ranking point matches proved to be a tight affair in most cases with the 500 points being split.
Sean Hopkin impressed with his two excellent breaks in a 2 nil victory over eventual finalist Steve Butler.

Group C also provided some drama with a good group of players and some dangerous handicaps.
Steve Burrows was the new boy on the day but came up against a number of fierce competitors who are trying to get into the top 16 for the end of season finale.
