Thanks Steve, I know you guys work hard in your free time (1.00 in the morning!), I was hoping a player may have posted something!

          Any takers?

Nick Pearce was the winner, beating David Brown in the final. Losing semi-finalists were Colin Mitchell and John Hunter.

Masterbreak147, I know its easy to moan, but remember these guys do it with very little free time on their hands. I recall the ASB from about 8-9 years ago and they are dealing with many more comps now than back then.

All I would say to the EASB staff is 'dont burn yourselves out lads'. We want a long lasting and safe Association and its easy to call it a day when so much is done by so few. So lets try and keep discouraging comments to a minimum I say.

As a player I dont know how much I can get involved with Administration for comps but I have fairly close links with the Southern venue for the seniors, The Castle Club, and anything I can do in the future seasons to help, I can.

I don't burn these guys/gals that put there effort into this in fact i am very very greatfull for all there effort and hard work but from a players point of view bare in mind its the seniors event which many if not all players will have jobs family's kids even grand-kids living at home two days notice before a event is really annoying.
Junior events etc always get good notice prior to the event i think the seniors need and deserve this too don't you.
again i worship the ground these organizers walk on really i do but for the seniors event its not good.
I am sat here wondering if i am working next weekend or playing being self employed i really really do need to know yesterday that is all i am saying here

                        Thnx

The EASB will be going paperless very soon!

Communication with players will soon be done by publishing info on the website and emails to those players who have provided email addresses. Letters and draws will no longer be sent to players by post so that should ease the admin burden very significantly.

A letter explaining it all will be going out to players, hopefully next week: there's been a delay because two directors were snowbound at home this week, and because of an internet problem within their office they've been unable to access EASB info from home.

Steveb72 is also now doing a sterling job of dealing with completed tournament info from the TDs and getting pre- and post-event info on the website, so many thanks to him.

As far as I am aware all events are on for next weekend: the Under 19s, the Seniors, the Junior Billiards and the Regional Amateur Tour.

The Northern events for the U19, ST and RAT are to be held at Northern Snooker, Leeds, I believe.
