English Seniors Championship

The regional qualifiers for the English Seniors Championship will take place this Saturday 11 December 2010. The draws and players letters for zone A and zones C/D can now be viewed on the EASB website HERE.

Note that the draw for zone B is also on the website but as the date for this zone is yet to be confirmed, there is no players letter on there yet.

Thanks Steve, just out of interest, why had the venue been changed from Brighton to Fareham? I rang the Castle club in Brighton and they said they were told that entrants were low, but that would explain a cancellation not a venue change.

The problem, I gather, with the Seniors was that there was a problem with getting a TD for Brighton, and that there were only two entrants from the SW venue. The combined region is being held somewhere more convenient for both regions, and will be run concurrently with the U19 qualifiers at Fareham. With the numbers involved the two events should work well together.

What a bloody long day that was, i managed to get out from there around 20:30 how was it at your end simon ?

Kev, not too bad actually, I had the good fortune of being given the match as my opponent needed to go.

I played pretty awful all day and was lucky to get best 3rd place.

Anyway congrats for qualifying and see you on 20th March at Leeds.
