Its a long way to go when you lose a single match with no group stages.

Leeds for us southerners is quite a way up. Conversely, I wonder how some players would mind coming down to Brighton or Portsmouth to play the last 16? Instead, treat it like the English Amateurs, Maybe that can be considered for next year?
Yes knockout stage now best of seven if you have never played at Leeds before presuming we play on the tables 4 to 9 your in for a treat they are beautiful and a good few of them tight buggers too
I agree good idea i wouldn't fancy going so far and im all for raising this up with the tour director on the day if you are?, last year it was Leicester and i thought that was too far haha in fact week after seniors im going there for last16 of easb club players grrr hate driving

On another note Simon besides us and Norris who else is in this from TSF members be nice to put faces to names at the weekend

From TSF Kev, 'I dont know' is the short answer.

It would be good to have more players named on here and then we can really talk usefully and openly.

I have to agree with Simon in urging the EASB to play regional sections down to the last player before finals day. I have 'qualified' for the last 16 in the seniors and the 6 reds championship and therefore have the ridiculously long drive from Sussex to Leeds twice in a month, both necessitating hotel/b&b's the night before. Really makes me regret ever entering them in the first place!

Although i am with the idea fully, regional is a must to really be fair on players but on another note its good to compete against fellow players from down yonder who you have never played against and visa versa if you get what i mean lol but like i said it makes sense to be regional

Likewise Kevin, after making the point about the North & South being regionals, I actually was very pleased to be there with you guys and see the players and the club.

Great club at Northern Snooker Centre even with the menu being blasted out 20 ft from the match table!

Good luck in the final Kev, I have listed unofficially what I have calcuated to be the table as it stands:-

                        1. Dave Brown - 482
                        2. Mark Rowing - 474
                        3. Steve Judd - 472
                        4. John Welsh - 371
                        5. Colin Norton - 344
                        6. Kev Firth - 321
                        7. Alan Edmonds - 284
                        8. Simon Dent - 233
                        9. Nick Pearce - 231
                        10. Phil Hartley - 212

I gave you and Steve min 220 for the final but naturally you may swap were you to win Kev but essentially I cant see the names in the top 6 changing for the 2 nr. England HI team selections.

Sorry corrected this list to add the difference from what has already been added.

Glad to see you had a safe journey home , I did the same thing not too long ago but i got it 331 min and 411 for highest but i have no idea what the ranking is for.
The European already been selected for this season so kinda rules that out i guess
Are you saying top six get asked to play in the HI ? im unsure how all this ranking and selecting criteria works mate really
Cheers for the heads up pal

Good to meet you too Kev, and very well played on the day. I hope you get to play for England because you certainly deserve it. Do you know when the final is in Sheffield? On the rankings - Colin Norton seemed to think he was not going to finish in the top 6.
