The Super Poles have done it again - after last night's heroics against Germany, they've just done the same to Scotland.

Wales v Poland, should be a great match and good luck to both teams. Wales going for the hat trick having beaten home favourites Malta 10-8 tonight.

Another great win by Sam Harvey. Having beaten Luca earlier today, he's beaten Vinnie Muldoon to book his place in the semi finals, alongside Michael Leslie, Duane Jones (come on Wales!) and another Polish super hero Kacper Filipiak.

Sam Harvey was 3-1 up, when I logged in to live scoring, but then it chucked me out and hasn't let me back in again!

The best junior amateur players in Europe have only produced 1 century between them the whole tournament.

Surprising, no matter how tight the bags are.

And Kacper Filipiak wins 6-3. The first Pole on the tour - well played young man

well done indeed amazing to think the young man won this without making one break over 50 ? in the whole tournament. good tournament all round for the polish getting to the final of the team event only losing out to a very strong welsh team.

I've watched the last 5 frames of the U21 final, and it was very poor quality, perhaps the nerves played a part but it certainly wasn't pretty. Filipiak was the better player, and he did well to win, but he will have a tough time on the tour next season. He will surely gain a lot of experience though.

think your spot on about the final but with everything that was at stake for these young players it's understandable. As for Filipiak being on the main tour again i have to agree with you but keep in mind this young lad was a massive outsider for this tournament he beat some of the fancied players to win it and he did it without making one break over 50. most of the young guys seem to be able to score heavily these days but when it get's down to having to grind out results then that's when they struggle. he knows how to grind out a result that is for sure if he can up his game and score more heavily when he get's in im sure he will cause a few upsets next season.

                                Playing Standard?

Having just returned from a weeks Cruise on the Iberian Peninsular, and only just catching up with the Euro Results, I would like to say:

I know you commented on the standard of the final between the two U21 Players
I would comment that the enormity of what both the lads were playing for would have a big influence on what they served up.

I personally witnessed this in the Euro U19 Final played in Glasgow in 2008
Anthony McGill came through the 2 weeks of the events (Team & U19's) playing some the the finest heavy scoring snooker ever witnessed in European Events let alone Scotland.
Come the final, both players, Stephen Craigie and Anthony, played well below the form that took them to the final.
It was a real shame that, given what both lads had shown in the previous week; the final panned out as it did.
Stephen beat Anthony 6-3 in a low scoring event.

Stephen Craigie deserved to win the final, but given Anthony's form the entire week there really only looked like one winner before the final. So all credit to Stephen for producing the win.

Both of this years finalists should look at the fact that it took Anthony 3 more years to get his Pro-Ticket, and the bourne out fact that maybe it would have come too early for him, had he won in 2008.
There is usually more to be gained from painfull losses than appears apparent at the time.

PS Well done to all the Scots lads for some decent performances this year.

PS Cruise was superb Thanks! lol
