So i just found out that here in Canada we are getting some big things going on. we now got another website and some big sponsors www.snookercanada.com .
The Canadian Open is Back but only for non pro`s with a prize pool of $25,000 plus.
We also got a Snooker academy in Canada and there is talk of a tour with more then $50,000 in prize money.
I have only a limited amount of information as this is new to me, but it seems things are coming along well. Just in Alberta we have started to see changes, we now have a www.just.tv/albertasnooker chan, a www.twiter.com/albertasnooker , a www.facebook.com/albertasnooker and awww.youtube.com/albertasnooker . Also NS has seen a big upturn in there rankings with 40 or so players, Montreal and Ontario got over 100 players and BC has tons going on out there also.
And for the first time in a long time i have gone to a pool hall that was putting in a snooker table rather then taking one out.
