Congratulations to Liverpool junior snooker stars Josh Mulholland and Clayton Humphries.
Josh (14) became the Merseyside U/16s Snooker Championship on Saturday beating Merseyside Junior Academy stable-mate Joe Rogers (15) in the Final 2 - 1. Joe was coming off a brilliant semi-final win over pre tournament favourite Clayton Humphries who'd made breaks of 50, 57, 63, 84 and 105 throughout the day.
Newly crowned champion Josh made breaks of 41, 45, 51 and 63 on the way to his first Merseyside title. The tournament was hosted by the George Scott Snooker Club in Liverpool.
The following day Clayton went on to finish off what turned out to be a very successful weekend for junior snooker on Merseyside by lifting the inaugural north west U/16s champion of champions. Josh made it to his second final in as many days but couldn't stop Clayton securing a convincing 3 - 0 win.
