  • Fareham tournament June 25-26

CUESTARS Seniors champion Colin Norton is one of a host of top names booked to appear at a big-money Pro-Am on the south coast later this month.

More than £1,000 will be up for grabs over the weekend of June 25-26 in Fareham Snooker Club’s Open Classic.

Subject to 64 entries, the winner will pocket £700. The runner-up will collect £350 and losing semi-finalists £100 each. There will also be a £50 high-break prize.

The format is a best-of-five scratch knockout leading to a best-of-seven final. The miss rule will apply. Entry fee is £25.

Players can pre-register or pay on the day, as long as it’s before 9.30am.

Ring Miki Sinanan at the club on 01329 221759 for entry forms and more details.

Early reports suggest this was a high-quality field.

EASB Premier Tour rivals Ryan Causton and Billy Castle met in the final. Causton won 3-2.

And Castle beat the 1998 IBSF World Champion Luke Simmonds 3-1 in the semis.

I’ll post full results when I receive them.

Hi, Me and Billy played well all day. Really enjoyed the event, I beat Nick Jennings's high break in the last frame as well, which was an 85, It was a lovely club to play in, can't wait for the next one.

Luke Simmonds knocked Adam out 3-0 in the quarters.
