tournaments anywhere in england

hi all its been a while since i last posted.
Time away from snookers gave me a new burst of confidence

so what i need to know is can everyone just post info on tournaments if they know any are happening.
As i need the match practice dearly.

First Sunday of every month. Next one in September. Handicap event. Usually 5 or 6 players capable of centuries along with a wide range of ages and abilities.

Northampton is only about 60-90 mins away which is not too bad. Maybe you could car share with a few mates to cheapen the petrol price?

na im 14 so id be goin up their with family probably by train or car. but yeah 60 -90 minutes aint bad

I'm visiting my parents who live in the midlands, and would have fancied this Nottingham tournament myself. Unfortunately, I just can't countenance paying for a tournament where 8 people are gifted a place in the last 16 just because they paid first! Ridiculous!

@DWOT - You mean to say that you wouldn't mind paying £50 to enter a tournament where 8 people are already in the next round before the comp even begins? The only people who could possibly enter early would be local players from that club who are obviously going to find out the comp is on before anybody else. You live in Derby, it's in Nottingham - local tournament for you DWOT, if you don't think it's ridiculous, then enter the tournament!

If I thought I stood a chance of winning it I'd haved no problems in entering at all, however I know full well that I'm not up to that standard by a long way!
