That's a nice start damien, your collection will grow in time believe me.

Thanks guys for the compliments. I counted my trophies again and found that whenever I got to semifinal of a tournament, I won only about one fifth of the time. Not great stats, but not too bad for a nervy and very easily distracted character like me.

This year I played, OK game level improved, but had miserable results. So many deciding frames/racks lost, so many important balls and frame balls missed I lost count. So frustrating.
Many times after a tough loss I've had thoughts about destroying all of my cues and equipment with a hammer, throwing these trophies to trash, stop playing altogether...lol...
Guess what happened after all those wonderful thoughts? I returned to the very next event...

I've won two pool league team trophies and one university one, for 'man of the match' at the student nationals. However, when the soc. president got them engraved they meant to abbreviate it to 'MOTM' but instead got a nice glass plaque with 'MOMT' because they got it wrong!

Good for you Ace Man... this game does funny things to one's psyche at times... it can be so frustrating but the feeling you get when you are playing well... is bliss.

I guess we just have to remember to enjoy playing and not get too hung up on the results when things are not going well.

Oh... I just popped by my old trophy warehouse today and... lol..

Don't know about everyone else, but over the years, having accumulated quite a few for leagues and individual wins & r/ups they become a problem to store/display so i take the engraved plates off and mount them on a board so they are more like a list of results. Been a few lean years due to having a young family, but hope to add more in future.

Try again. I am not sure if this is just for amateur trophies but anyway here are all of mine.

Jim, when you photograph engraving just wipe it over first with black shoe polish- it will stay in the writing. To take shine off silver put it in the fridge for a few minutes to get a slight film of condensation on it.

Hi Philip, it's just a bit of fun. But wouldn't be nice if a member put up a Trophy's from the main tour
