So the first round is on the Friday at 7.30pm...

The SWSA are turning away entries at the moment, so the question is - why don't they make people take the friday off work and start at 10 am on the fri and accept more entries. More prize money, better competition and fewer disappointed players too late to enter despite the fact that it's a full month away!

Errrm, I think you'll find that play does in fact kick off at 9:30am on the Friday.

The schedule has been thoroughly reviewed and within the confines of 3 days and 13 tables, there really is no further capacity to increase the number of participants. As it is, the Friday is going to be an incredibly hectic day with little room to maneouvre in the schedule.

So the first round is on the Friday at 7.30pm...

The first matrches in the team event will be at (about) 19:30, but there is a full days play with Last 128 and Last 64 rounds of the open being played to completion, along with Last 16 rounds of Seniors and Juniors!

A fair amount of team matches wont start until the saturday i assume?

Given that there are now five teams in each group (so four playing one sitting it out in each round), then one team in each group won't play their first match until Saturday.
