        Hi Walter,

...........hello, and hello to Austria .

And looks a very competitive open, and nice to see in the round robin stage that there's a highest break of 143 by Stephen Lee, followed by Mark Selby on 126, great standard.

And will keep logging in to look at result, if you get the chance to update schedule...

        Have fun...

        Lol..xx

          Thanks for the preliminary results!

I find the format somewhat odd: they have put one professional player in nearly every 'round robin group', and the only one who seems to have failed to win his group is David Roe. It's probably very nice for the travelling pros, but there won't be many local boys (the gals all failed to progress from the round robin stage) competing this weekend.

(This Restplatz seems to be a very active fella, but sadly not a very good snooker player.)

Edit: I just stumbled over some pictures of mr Doherty working in a local pub
Das war ein FLUKE! Ein Glückstreffer!

Did David Roe really lose 2-0 to all of those people? Seems unlikely, when the other professionals only dropped 2 frames between them.

Let me just start off by saying that I have not PMd anyone.

Results from the second round today:

Matthew Couch v Lee Richardson 3-1
Ian McCulloch v Michael Holt 3-1
Alison Carter v Ricky Walden ??
Tom Ford v Barry Hawkins 3-1
Stephen Lee v Robert Bütof 3-0
Mark King v Ryan Day 1-3
Joe Perry v Mark Selby 1-3 (two consecutive tons by Selby)
Jimmy Michie v Ken Doherty 3-1

This is what the German snookerblog.de (hello again Eric! and thanks) has to report, at least. The official results will be available tomorrow morning. Until then I will keep crossing my fingers for Carter.

Quite surprising to see Ken Doherty out so soon, but seeing as he scored something along the lines of 40 points or so in the three last frames, not a huge surprise. Too bad that Austria no longer has any local heroes in anymore, with Bütof being the last man falling. Mark Selby has continued his great run from the World Championships by making 7 centuries in 15 frames.

I must suffer greatly from snooker withdrawal *sighs*

Yes, I know... maybe that's why he lost? He might be having trouble connecting to his new female self?

                              (It wasn't my typo!)

Thanks for the info, Karen, and welcome to TSF
