Another pro-am with guaranteed prize money from the people that run the Castle club in Brighton. I'm pretty sure in saying there were just 32 entries last time, so 3 wins to quadruple your cash and 5 wins and the big money's yours. Come on people, get down to this excellent venue and show everyone what your made of!

      Hi Magicman,

yes that's right we had 32 entrants at the November ProAm, and I expect around the same for this Sunday's event. For the results from November, you can check out http://brightonandhovesnooker.org/20...am-tournament/.

      Thanks

This is a quality club run by quality people with a quality tournament director. Guaranteed prize money is an absolute rarity unfortunatly, just another thing that makes this organisation exceptional. F.

          Thanks for the praise Frank

Just two more things before tomorrow...

Firstly, the draw closes at 10:25am sharp! BUT, if you're actually on the way and running late then phone me on 01273 382246 and I'll put you in the draw (there will be a 1 frame penalty for every 10 mins late to the table).

Secondly, there is no dress code (but I will be taking some photographs of the winner/runner up so don't wear anything too embarrassing ).

Good luck to everyone! I'll post the results up asap.

          Thanks
          Anthony

David beat Zak Surety 4-1 in the final. James Leadbetter got the highest break of 128 but lost in the last 16, 3-0 to Ryan Causton. I had a 124 tc and got beat 3-2 in the 1st round! Still, I had beaten David 3-1 in the semi-final of a competition I went on to win the previous month, so swings and roundabouts!

Who are you then in real life..................

Did you manage to see how Bradley Jones was playing . Believe he knocked in a century as well .

Yes Brad knocked in a 108, Zak had a 113 and Sid Wilson a 116. None of the century boys won though, so tons aren't everything!

                    Hi everyone,

I'd like to say a sincere thank you to everyone who came and made the event such a success, and especially to all those who helped spread the word, including yourself magicman. It's always risky to offer guaranteed prize money but we had 36 entrants on the day and it all ran very smoothly.

Congratulations to David Gray for winning, thoroughly deserved it in my opinion. He was quite unfortunate in the final frame to push the penultimate red onto the cushion ending what probably would have been the highest break of the day!

                    FINAL
                    David Gray 4 – 1 Zak Surety
                    81-8, 22-90 (83), (54) 80-43, 77-26, (92) 92-0

                    SEMI FINAL
                    David Gray 3 – 1 Sydney Wilson
                    52-75, 67-53, (74) 74-0, 83-6

                    Zack Richardson 1 – 3 Zak Surety
                    0-74 (57), 1-57, (82) 82-0, 0-71 (66)

                    TOP 10 BREAKS
                    128 James Leadbetter
                    124 Paul Norris
                    116 Sydney Wilson
                    113 Zak Surety
                    108 Bradley Jones
                    92 David Gray
                    92 Bradley Jones
                    90 Bradley Jones
                    89 Ryan Causton
                    86 Nick Jennings

I've published the full results from the day and a photo here...

Cheers, but I'd rather have had a 24 and gone through! It was a quality field though, and any time a ranking event winner is in the comp you're up against it lets be honest!

Cheers Kev, although I would have preferred to have won the comp with a high break of 79 as I did in December!
