Flipping heck that would take some doing, I've been in 3 consecutive Yorkshire finals and lost all 3, 4-3 . 4-2 . 4-1 (if i remember right) to talented craig butler who i believe won it a further twice after
Ill try and ask my pal who is Yorkshire Secretary see if he has records but not a promise but failing that a certain Terry Croft who runs the events may be able to help you his email can be found here http://ybsa07.leaguerepublic.com/Dis...&league=572257

may i ask why you are after this information ? is it for a site database because i would be interested in viewing myself if so

    cheers kev

btw 2013 final on 31st may

2013 - Oliver Lines vs david portman
2012 - oliver lines lost 4-1 to david portman
2011 - david grace beat wayne cooper 4-0
2010 - gareth green beat ian glover 4-2
2009 - jon bagley beat Ian glover 4-1

1999 - craig butler beat kev firth 4-1
1998 - craig butler beat kev firth 4-2
1997 - craig butler beat kev firth 4-3

that should get you going wayne cooper won it 3 times between 2000 - 2009 dunno who he beat also sajid khan made 3 finals during those years so try search those names to get results

Well theres no specific reason i guess..im a bit of a secret historian i suppose really, i kind of just like looking back through records n stuff, seeing who's won what and if anyone dominated a particular era..i went through a bit of a phase in my teens n early twenties where i used to follow the yorkshire comp as my older brother had a crack at it one year, as well as the english amateur too...i can recall watching players like mark rowing from Donny i think ad well as martin unsworth bradford, tony emmott, michael devine i think it was too and a very talented player from batley called paul smith..you might or might not know of these names? Depends on youre age i guess..You must be a fair player youreself? Whats the name if you dont mind me asking?

yes ofc i know all those players very well most of them, i am closing in on 45 and i stated above i lost to craig butler 3 years running so my name is in my first post pal

Like i said terry is probably your very best option think he took over from the late eric hodgkinson who died last month who i know for a fact had all that information so my guess terry took over his yorkshire belongings when he moved to malta

anyway very best of luck getting the info and please do share on this post would be interesting to read
        cheers

I have a DVD of him playing John Pulman in a tournament in the 70's. I think from memory Pulman won 4-3 (or 3-2). He beat Eddie Charlton to reach the 1974 World Championships quarter final as well. Bearing in mind that Charlton reached the final in '73 and '75 it was a notable victory.
