  • Any tournaments in East Midlands area?

Hi guys does anyone know of any comps being ran soon? Looking to gain some experience and want it to be in non-handicapped tournaments.

What are the general formats/entry fees for comps and are they one dayers?

    Thanks

Thanks Steve I'll bring a zimmerframe with me as 28 is so very old...lol!

Thanks for the links I'll keep an eye on it. Shame there isn't a county site for Leicestershire. Seems to be all about 8-ball here...such a shame.

In Leicestershire there is the Leicester & District Institute Snooker League:

              http://instsnooker.co.uk/

and the Loughborough Snooker League which only has a facebook page:

              https://www.facebook.com/loughborough.snooker

but I don't think either of those organisations tends to run many one day tournaments.

Barratts Snooker club in Northampton used to hold monthly handicap tournaments but I don't know whether they still do. Gavin York used to post the details on here so it may be worth contacting him if Northampton isn't too far to travel.

Thanks for all of that info Steve. Definitely worth having a look at. There used to be weekly handicap comps in Leics at various clubs but since Willie Thornes closed down its stunted any comps. Maybe I should run one myself but I'm worried as I have no experience in snooker at all, would players support it?
