Cumbria Competitions

Any competitions or leagues in the Cumbria area that I could enter or join?

Preferably more towards the South Lakes area of Cumbria

I know there is a club in Kendal, because one of the lads who plays there played his county cup game at our club, I will ask around at the club if you want, the lads in there will know what's what, we(Portland club carlisle )have a cash tourney the first Sunday every month. Give me a few days and ill get back to you.

Thank you very much for your quick response Itsnoteasy. I live in Barrow-in-Furness. Ive just started getting back into it a couple of times a week and would love to see how I would do competitively. Only an amateur at best but gotta start somewhere. Dont mind taking a hiding a few times before getting better

Will ask about for you DD, not in till Thursday , if anyone's in they will know they have all played county etc for years. I get twonked every time I play, I'm the worst player by miles out of all the players I play with, If I take the odd frame I feel like I have won the world champs.

I generally just play with the same couple of people and often beat them but its more just a casual game more than anything, think i need to get hammered a few times to improve myself at the sport

Asked today, one lad said the Eddie Shimmings league(I think) but another said South Cumbria all comes in with West Cumbria, he said there is a website for them, could try that, apparently the standard is quite high as a lot of them travel to Manchester to play.
