Well folks,
I played my final tonight......I've only gone a won the fu£&er!!!
I have achieved what I thought in January was impossible. I've quoted in earlier posts that I'm not daft enough to realise it's not the World Champs or the Masters but on a personal level it's just MASSIVE. We had the biggest audience ever for one of our in house tournaments....75 friends/ family and members watched the final. I'm just on such a massive high at the moment. Our very own "scouse ref" Peter Williamson gave up his valuable time to officiate for us. Top guy is Peter. Thank you.
My opponent was a guy called John Joyce who held himself together admirably considering the support I had on the night. Hats off to John.
I gave an impromptu speech at the end which ended up with most of the crowd blubbering (sorry folks) but I felt I had to say a few words of thanks.
To say I'm proud is the understatement of the year!!! I really didn't think that I would be able to complete the tournament before things turned bad but someone, somewhere was looking over me giving me the strength to fulfill my dreams.
I am now OFFICIALLY the 2013 "George Scott Snooker Club" Champion.
How cool is that!!!
And finally, thank you for all your words of encouragement, tips on practice, tips on routines and general comments to help me be at my best.
Autographs now cost £10, Signed pics £20 and an exhibition will set you back 50 grand!!! Haha
