Brilliant Andy and when it boils down to it spot on.

Try and use whatever a player like this does to your advantage.. switch off.. concentrate more.. wind him up more by winning the game and at the end shake his hand and say unlucky mate

Just play your game and let him get on with his issues

As for what other players/leagues would do - probably speak to the player at the time. You can't complain about something after the game, we have a rule in our local league that any disputes or objections must be made at the time the occur, for the very reason that anything said afterwards is going to be seen as sour grapes if the player who may have been "wronged" has lost.
so basically you are saying its ok if you dont say anything at the time thats a bit daft very difficult sometimes to do that in middle of frame.......its not whingeing it is a debate if you like

The next step would of been me flattening him which would of done me no good and got me banned so i controlled myself and got on with it so how is it sour grapes am i just meant to not say anything and let cheats prosper? You're more than welcome to come and have a game with me and i'll do all those things while you are playing then see you "grow some". ********.

The league only works because most people enjoy a game and play properly. If everyone just started walking around and being abusive and banging the table, talking on their opponents shot, it would be chaotic.

That's the same with everything in life. Society only works because most people don't act like idiots.
              well said tedisbill 100% correct

The people saying grow a pair obviously have there pair in there mouth as they talk complete b****cks why would someone who enjoys the game get banned cause someone else is a tool, but I think that people who have to play up to win are not good enough or not as good as they think they are to have to behave in this way to win, on the other hand if possible try and keep your head and beat them they might realise it don't get them anywhere and you one will feel even better about the win and two it would be better to report after a win I don't think it is always sour grapes but some people do.

I must be very lucky all our matches and tournaments are run in as near professional standard as possible we even have a dress code for important matches and you can hear a pin drop on tournament night, there must be other clubs out there who follow this example would be nice to hear from them, as the input of bad behaviour is bad news for the game we all love.

The worst thing at the moment for us in our League , is players constantly on mobile phones or tablets checking Football scores or what ever else they do on them . They sit there with their faces lit up like Xmas trees !

We have a rule of no phones etc but no one sticks to it .

The last thing i want is my Mrs texting me ....its 3 Hours with no outside world contact , how hard can it be ?? What did we do before these devices .
Still trying to pot as many balls as i can !

I am right behind martj on this, along with those that support him. It is a form of cheating and unfortunately, it is prevalent in many sports these days.

I wonder if martj's opponent calls his own fouls?

I encountered a couple of youngsters in our small club last week and all they could do whilst at the table was talk about their girlfriends and smash the balls around the table, a couple of times the white 'went for 4' and on one occasion it nearly went for a 'six'.

I didn't say anything at the time for fear of having my face pushed in but, it will be mentioned to the committee in due course.

Sign of the times we live in I'm afraid to say. However, thankfully the good'uns still outnumber the other type!

Thanks mate, yes it is a form of cheating but thankfully there are only a few individuals that behave like this and it does seem to be the younger generation.
