is it my fault if someone hasnt go the mental capability to block out distractions while playing and not let others actions get to them,
still not been answered, i bet this thread wouldnt be here if he had won.

You dont see players in the pro game having to put up with it they get warned by referees or any noisy spectators are removed to why should you put up with it in an amateur arena win or lose it it not acceptable!
You get this in all leagues, whatever the standard. Just shake the *****'s hand before and after the game and don't worry a toss about it.
I doubt very much he's even thinking about it now... coz most morons don't care before, during or after.
Chin up.

The last thing i want is my Mrs texting me ....its 3 Hours with no outside world contact , how hard can it be ?? What did we do before these devices .
bloody things are like penises for some youngsters, forever playing with them.
I once had some dumb git playing up to his mates when he was playing me, cheering and fist pumping everytime he made a pot and I must admit it bothered me greatly at the time. He beat me as I had to give him 40+ start as well as contending with his outbursts. When I shook his hand after the frame I gripped his hand real tight, pulled him towards me and said,
"If I ever play you again and you behave like that, you and I will be taking a walk into the alley outside, do you understand ?"
The wrong thing to do I know but it worked and he didn't do it again.
My mate has a better way of dealing with it, he shakes their hands and says,
"You're a good player mate, but you've got no class."Last edited by vmax4steve; 17 February 2014, 04:54 PM.

These things are not really snooker issues. They are common courtesy issues. The decline of common courtesy throughout society is widespread. As a general rule ignorant, ill mannered people, were generally just too thick to educate. Unfortunately although that's still the case, people who should know, or should have been educated better now display the same behaviour patterns.
As for tablets, mobiles etc, it's quite incredible how anyone can expect to concentrate on anything else whilst using one.

Had a similar problem last week at a club in London with a bloke at the next table. Same old nonsense and I kept missing my shots but tried to take no notice though I was boiling up inside- everytime he made a noise or done anything at all I got even more p'ed off, when suddenly it came straight out of my mouth "I'm gonna slap that c*#t in a minute."
I think by the tone of my voice that he knew I meant it at the time and he left the club shortly after. There was no way he didn't hear me (infact everyone in earshot flippin heard me) and I wished after that I had kept my cool, bit my bottom lip and just got on with it. Who's the idiot now??? Me!
I was also wondering once I chilled out if he was waiting for me outside to give me a slap but he wasn't. Thank f*#k!
Point is; I made matters worse for myself really and lost because I couldn't settle down: I'd raised my adrenalin levels, my hands were shaking, my knees were turning to jelly and were knocking, my heart thumped faster, my stomach was in a mess and I couldn't play and lost the frame to someone who had not played in years.
Think I've learned a lesson from that one tbh. In future I will just have a kind word instead with the person. No more stooping to their level and set myself higher standards in the future!
