Thanks for posting that. Good to see the great man at work

      A couple of things.

      1. The table seemed quite slow.
      2. Were you using championship 1G balls.
      3. Why doesn't your opponent re-spot your potted colours.

Terry does mention earlier that the tables were very slow due to high humidity conditions.
        Up the TSF! :snooker:

Oh. I didn't see that. Yes. That table did look pretty slow.

cracking long red by TD at 1:07, and luckily with the slow table landed nicely on the Blue

at 1:30 at the end of the frame the ref does indeed get out a 1G ali case.

Thanks. Must be like playing on a cardigan with normal light club balls.

I watched a little bit as well j6. I think that with Terry it's don't do as I do but do as I say bucket pockets though.

                  Terry,
what's the definition of an amateur in Canada ? Seeing as you make a living from the game you could be perceived as a pro in some quarters.

yeah the best shot of that marathon frame. and i think on a pro table he would have just miss the yellow, come off the baulk cush and landed on the blue anyway.. technically he remind me of the hurricane. completely different to how i imagined him to play

Terry will definitely have a more appropriate definition, but as far as I know anyone is considered amateur in Canada at the moment (or perhaps I should say anyone is allowed to play in that "open" snooker category -- which should have been the title of this thread to be more accurate). For instance Alex Pagulayan was the champion a couple times in the past few years. I was speaking with Robidoux a few years ago and he mentioned he was making the trip to those nationals up until fairly recently (and he is so humble he forgot to mention he won it a several times, too). I think between 2000 and last year Pagulayan, Robidoux, Thorburn and Kirk Stevens won most of the titles.

I didn't know he was still playing. Good news. I always liked watching him play.

I would not class Terry as a Pro as he does not earn from the game by playing. He may earn by coaching the game but that is not taken into account for this I am sure
Also, he is not on the WPBSA main tour, so maybe that is the criteria?

I definitely do NOT make a living and besides, I only coach. I have never been a pro.

It's 1G balls with 6811 cloth, but they don't block and iron the cloths, maybe block once in awhile. Tables are very slow and I hate having to hit everything hard.
