Along these lines of increasing the popularity of snooker in Canada (and a well done and more power to you to Patrick Guigui) I would like to say the new Corner Bank club in Toronto (Scarborough actually) will definitely become a centre for both snooker and pool disciplines. The club is just in the final stages of completion and should be opening either near the end of September or early October.
There will be 8 new Schender snooker tables with Hainsworth Match cloths along with a larger number of pool tables and also a number of the 7ft tables. They have tons of free parking and the location is very convenient to get to. Plans are to host as many tournaments there as possible and if everything turns out to be successful there is a chance the club might expand in the future.
Today I will be playing a best-of-7 match there against Phil Snache at 1pm. This match is to see who will get the second allotment of $2,300 expense money from the CBSA to help with the trip to Bangalore for the IBSF World Championships.
When Corner Bank officially opens I will post a notice on here for all of the Toronto and area players.

Thanks for the compliment Terry and good luck in your match today.
In an effort to keep the focus of this thread on the development of snooker in Canada, if anybody knows of any other new tables going up in the country, please let us know.
A & F Billiards in Cornwall, On. is currently putting up a third table and adding a third league. Kudos!

I dream of a 147 (but would be happy with a 100)

TerryThe bitter taste of poor quality remains long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten.
