  • Leeds. Opponent needed

    Hello ppl.
Looking for a decent snooker player to battle with!
Beaten my friends too many times and not a lot of good players at the club, not even half decent as an amateur.
I consider myself a low amateur grade player. Highest break of 62 and regular 30-40 breaks.
Anyone fancy a challenge, or can someone point me in the right direction. At the minute, it is the bane of my life finding a good challenge.

      Dunno how it works.

I love the idea of a local Leeds player not knowing of the Northern Snooker Centre, it's endearing. 'Bane of my life finding a good challenge' - I think you might find a tsunami of challenges there! Great attitude searching for better players mate, best of luck to you!
I often use large words I don't really understand in an attempt to appear more photosynthesis.

No offence mate but not local to leeds, I'm from Wakefield which is basically next door.
Played at rileys religiously till it closed down, played at st mic's a good few times and at dewsbury snooker centre but no consistent challenge.
Will defo try leeds this week or next.

              Cheers for the help guys.

I play at Northern, as it's practically next door to where I work.
From the sounds of your stats i,m probably of a similar standard to you although with a high break of 81, however i,ve only just returned to the game after a long absence but knocking in regular 20/30,s.
Me and a friend used to practice on a Monday night as it's half price up until 6. It's a good atmosphere in their with some very good players, a fair few pros and nicely maintained tables.

Well if you want a game, just drop me a message, I usually work on nights so am free most evenings up until 10.
Will probably pop up next week sometime to check the place out. Everyone recommends it.

There is a young lad called Oliver goes in there. He's not bad. His dad isn't too shabby either.

                              Bravo.

A while ago I was playing as usual on a Saturday and a very pleasant elderly gent who goes in set the balls up on one of the match practice tables next to us. Peter came in and the elderly gent broke off. Peter made a 120+ break, then went to get a coffee whilst the balls were reset. Peter broke off, the elderly gent played a (semi decent) safety shot, Peter made a 124 break. End of session. I hope he enjoyed his two shots.

I think our friend wishing to find a decent standard playing partner might have found the right place to go.
