Cheap places to practice in Tyne and Wear?

All the clubs round here seem to be between £5-7 an hour to practice, I don't mind travelling a bit within the area if this price is right but I'm just wondering if there's anywhere I don't know about that's ideally between £2-4 an hour a table in tyne and wear?

If you practise on your own i think you get the Star tables at Whitley Bay snooker centre for £4 an hour

Are there any working men's clubs near you, they are normally cheap to play in.

Lets face it - if there is a club up there with star tables at 4 pounds an hour that is where I would be - forget the working men's clubs - get to Whitley Bay and find that one. Those are what the pro's play on after all.

if you go to Whitley Bay you will learn more as the club is owned by Paul Rinaldi who is always there and a great coach. 2 star tables a couple of riley aristocrat tables and 6 other good tables that are well looked after. Also a couple of pro's practice there.

If that is to far away try Gateshead snooker centre, Birtley Snooker centre or Cheemas in Sunderland you can play from 11am till 5pm for £10.
