Secret is to practice on tight pockets & go play a match on buckets. You won't miss a ball haha. Don't do it the other way though. It'll do your head in lol.
Using the Aramith 1G balls makes a huge difference tbh. Like most clubs up & down the country we have had our fair share of 'tray balls'. Trying to find balls that match is a lottery! Luckily we are getting there with our full quota of 1G's. Using proper balls that are the same size, weight & colour play far more consistent. What's the biggest moan from amateur players in Pro-Am's & other local comps? It'll be slow heavy cloths, random bounces off the cushions & s**t balls. That now is a thing of the past for us.

Next up, a couple of folk who have nothing to do with this county (!) will criticise the £5 buffet fee, arguing a bag of chips can be had for £2. Just wait........

Bag of chips for £2!!! I'm coming to play at your club lol

We'd have you, the chips are free to you. You're doing a fine job mate. If only we had some folk like you in our league and county. We are dropping down the drain. So badly organised with no idea of improving things.

Yeah, Perry told me he practises on the 3 1/4'' Star tables at SWSA. TV tables are easy in comparison.

I didn't realise I had to explain things to some dim wit people
Afraid you do mate If you had merely stuck with your opening 2 posts which seemed pretty likely there would have been a lot more wondering too. Ripp offs by many a team organisor be it Snooker, pool darts whatever are pretty commonplace.

I'll say it again...I don't like to see "officials" laying down pointless little rules so they can make a few bob out of it for themselves. If the profit were to go to some good cause fair enough.
Thanks for the explanation it's now obvious it's going to a good cause.
£20 for a polo shirt though, c'mon !!! Shop around mate.

Oh and read a few more of Splash's posts and youll see who the real keyboard warrior around here is.

£20 is bloody cheap for a Polo shirt ......I pay over £120 for mine . They are Moncler ones though

Seriously though , I Don't think you should knock people who are trying to promote the game Jimmy .

Fair play for Tony in putting such a detailed response , and shows the effort he goes to , to get the best playing conditions possible .
Still trying to pot as many balls as i can !

I did shop around. £16 + VAT for a very good quality polo shirt with 3 logos stitched on & not cheap crappy looking stickers on isn't too bad IMO. The polo shirt on it's own was around £10-12. It was the embroidery that cost extra. I was offered cheaper looking nasty polo shirts that would have only lasted 5 minutes. Glad I went for the better quality ones because they look fantastic & will last.

And the players will look good. Some folk like team shirts, a few don't. The ones that don't, don't have to play. The pros have to wear shirt, waistcoat and tie for goodness sake. Polo shirt; big ****ing deal!

Unfortunately, Primark has robbed the sense of quality and value from the mind of the ordinary man.

My intention was never to knock him Neil in fact I tried to entice a better explanation, on reflection coming across as I did may have not been the best way but it did work.
I've said it before I'm getting old and am without doubt I've turned into a sceptical old git, especially as I have on numerous occasions been ripped off within "clubs".

Nice to see you did shop around Tony and got quality goods. If I had seen the word "quality" earlier I would probably not said a word. No hard feelings?

Hang on a mo, the ones that don't, don't have to play. hmmm so what about the 14 year old really talented kid who wants to join a team but his single parent mom aint got two pennies to rub together? Tony comes across now as the kinda guy who'd help such a kid by buying him a shirt. As for the pro game, well that's run by the biggest cowboys in the book.

Tony pm me a paypal account I can send £20 to. Hang on to it till such a time a kid like that comes along. Don't need anything else just want to shut the gob of this plonker I'm sick of him calling me a tight git.

Thanks guys, think you pair need to get a room lol.

All myself & some others are trying to do is to improve conditions in clubs & get people playing the game whether they're old or young, seasoned players or just beginning.

Nice offer jimmymoller, if this scenario ever occurred. You can phone Craftsigns & pay it yourself so you'll know it's been used properly & someone hasn't used it for 'beer tokens' lol.

Thanks to Big Splash, all the lads do look smart & every County team we've played all wear matching polo shirts & it does look very good.

The standard within the NCC is very good. Lots & lots of ex pro's back playing the game & lots of very good amateurs.
So if you guys fancy testing yourself against some very good players. Get a team entered.

Our Warwickshire polo shirts cost £18, they're very nice and smart and I know our skipper made nothing out of them..........Keep up the good work Tony this is another one for us to have a laugh about when I next see you!

It's a grand day for those lucky enough to play county, wear that shirt and stand around the table for a team photo, a photo that will have pride of place in someone's home. Or end up on FB, Twitter, etc. The F&F will be very proud and so they should.
