Event 3 in the Litetask Pro-Am Series was held yesterday at the Northern Snooker Centre. Considering the UK Championship was being played down the road and live on TV another excellent field of 102 players took part featuring 13 current pro's. The results form the quarters onwards were:-
Quarters
Mike Dunnn 3 v David Grace 2
Jake Nicholson 3 v Peter Lines 1
Stephen Hallworth 3 v Rodney Goggins 0
Dylan Mitchell 3 v Ben Woollaston 2
Semis
Dylan Mitchell 3 v Stephen Hallworth 2
Jake Nicholson 3 v Mike Dunn 1
Final
Jake Nicholson 3 v Dylan Mitchell 0
This was another day of excellent snooker with 3 century breaks from beating quarter finalist Dave Grace including a 135 clearance. Dave was 2-0 up in his quarter final match but last 3-2 to Mike on the final black. Beaten semi finalist Stephen Hallworth also made 2 century breaks on his run to the semis.
Congratulations to Jake Nicholson who now jumps to the top of the ranking ladder vurtually ensuring himself of a place in BOTH Grand Finals with more chances to increase his prize money total.
The updated ranking list will be issued shortly.
Event 4 takes place on January 15th.
Due to the huge success of this event I hope to begin talks with the fantastic hosts of the events the Northern Snooker Centre to run this series again. If we can maintain the interest and the entry levels to the end of the series then I see no reason as to why prize money can't be increased for the next series!!!
