Chandler’s Ford Snooker Club’s £1,000 Under-21 Roll-Up is now a scratch competition.
After four years of handicap tournaments, club-boss Jim Everett announced today that after a campaign by South Hampshire juniors, which included a Facebook group called ‘I hate handicap snooker’ and a petition, the new 20-week series will be off scratch.
We kick off next Saturday at 1pm. Main comp is best-of-five with a best-of-three plate. Top 15 ranked players at the end of 20 weeks share £1,000.
Chandler’s Ford, the next stop on the EASB Southern Regional Junior Tour on Sunday, 14 October, is situated halfway between Southampton and Winchester just off the M3.
Regular players include EASB Premier Junior Tour players Alex Dunkley and Dan Hildyard and EASB Southern Regional Junior Tour players Shane Castle, Jordan Winbourne, Billy Castle, Peter Maraziotis, Jason Hildyard and Ollie Tydeman.
