THREE women world champions from three different cue sports will be in action in Derbyshire this weekend.
The World Ladies Billiards & Snooker Association’s 2008/09 season kicks off with two snooker tournaments, the invitation-only Wytech Masters and the UK Championships.
Midlands IT company Wytech are sponsoring Saturday’s event at the North East Derbyshire Snooker Centre, Clay Cross.
Four-time world snooker champion Reanne Evans, world 8-ball pool champion Lynette Horsburgh, from Blackpool, and world billiards champion Emma Bonney will be among 16 players competing for more than £1,400 prize money.
The UK Championship, the first ranking event, takes place at the same venue on Sunday.
