  • EXCLUSIVE SS Article 5 - Charitable Donations

Apart from the £20,000 of the £74,907 in commissions due to Sir Rodney Walker and waived by him in favour of the National Society Prevention of Cruelty to Children WPBSA made two charitable donations in the year ending June 30, 2009.

One was of £1,500 to the Teenage Cancer Trust and Children’s Hospice of Scotland, the other of the odd amount of £633 the association’s own Benevolent fund, the subject of several Snooker Scene articles.

    Why £633 and not £600 or £1000?

WPBSA’s players are still not favoured with copies of the latest Benevolent fund accounts.

The membership’s money is also invested in the WPBSA’s academy in Sheffield.

No accounts have ever been published for this venture. Snooker Scene believes they should be.

I'm wondering about the £58 that Rodney Walker has claimed for entertaining? How many Pukka Pies can you get for that?
