  • Snooker Legends Blackburn

Imran was at the Snooker Legends in Blackburn on Friday night and managed to do some interviews for us whilst he was there.

Imran told me quite a funny story about the raffle ticket winner on the night, I will let him or Jason tell the story in full when they see this post or if you were there on the night and want to tell the members feel free.

There are still a few dates left on the Snooker Legends calendar, you can see them all here, I am treating a few people form my local club to a night out in July at the reading event, if anybody wants to join us you are more than welcome, we will probably be having a few beers beforehand in one of the local pubs.

All I can say is that alcohol and a raffle winner don't mix. The idiot ruined what should have been the chance of a lifetime by trying to upstage JP, Cliff and our other winner Padiham Paul Rinaldi. MT handled it brilliantly and hopefully one idiot, who is now banned from any future SL event, didn't ruin the night for everyone. Dennis was back in the town he lived in when he won the Worlds and with his son watching rolled back the years to defeat Cliff 2 nil (with a century) and then Jimmy in the final with an amazing black. I only wish I had a camera with me at our end of tour party as seeing JV sing Elvis, Orbison, Tom Jones and even Andy Williams at 3.30am was a treat. Dennis and Cliff proved once again that the drifters missed a trick not signing them up and despite every effort MT refused to join Cliff in a grease megamix! She won't get away with it in July though, we're already planning one hell of a bash in Doncaster!!!!

It was good fun, the only sour point being the drunken idiot that got chosen to play.

Good interviews. The legends events are great, I had a great time at the one in Sheffield . Shame about the idiot though

I enjoyed listening to all the interviews, just a shame they were all too short apart from John Virgo's..

Yeh Jimmy and JV gave long interviews but it was pretty hard to get hold of the rest of them. The bar area was very busy with autograph and picture hunters before the event and time was at a premium.

I stuck around after the event and managed to grab a quick word with the rest of them.
