ACCUSATION OF SUSPICIOUS BETTING PATTERNS IN MATCH BETWEEN JIMMY MICHIE V MARCUS CAMPBELL
Further to the recent Press Releases regarding suspicious betting patterns taking place during the Caesarcasino.com Snooker Shoot-Out Tournament played on Friday 28th January 2011, Les Barton (SPA Director) has spoken at length with both players individually and has been assured by them that they played their game in a fair and professional manner and that neither were involved in any betting irregularities.
The SPA look forward to a speedy and satisfactory resolution to the hearing that David Douglas (Head of the WPBSA's Integrity Unit) is carrying out as this kind of publicity is not good for the sport of snooker.
