  • Williams and Hendry in car accident

It has been reported that Mark Williams was in a minor car accident last night and he has hurt his shoulder, not good news for his Masters bid and also not good news for his sponsors Ron Skinner & Sons who loaned him a top of the range landrover to travel to the event in Wembley.

Stephen Hendry was also reported to of been in the car with Mark and is complaining of pain in his back.

Mark has not yet informed tournament directors if he is pulling out of the event yet and is due to make contact with World Snooker after a visit to the doctors.

We will update you on this when we know more but if Mark is to pull out Ali Carter would automatically get through to the next round. People who have purchased tickets for tonight game will be entertained with an exhibition in place of the match, it is expected that Ali would play in the exhibition but as of yet no other have been announced, it would be a case of seeing who is about, there are plenty of players here so your guess is as good as any.

    That's more than unfortunate.

OT: We are quite up to date, aren't we?
Robbo's potting is so good he doesn't need to bother with positional play like the rest of the players. He laughs in the face of those who spend hours on the practice table perfecting their cue ball control! ~ Forman

I hope he finds a way to play, but if it's too painful, he should pull out, as he will not be anywhere near his best then..

Very unlucky season, broken wrist first, shoulder injury second.. What else to come??
        All the way Mark J!!

Too bad, Mark was in excellent form against Mcleod and this one is not going to be easy
                  hope he can pull through.

Good not all top 16 are taking the same bus. Or flying the same airplaine (I hope).
Or that could quickly get to a brand new top 16...

Getting a little unfair this season with those injuries for Williams.

If all top16 will get in one plane other players from top96 would like to improve their rankings....
