use of a free ball

  • use of a free ball

    I was playing a game of snooker the other day and my opponent left me a free ball I nominated green and planted it on too a red over a pocket

    but thinking on this i was not sure if this is a foul as i potted a ball other then the free ball

    could you please advise

    That is an acceptable shot, as long as you hit the green first (which it sounds like you did), or simultaneously with the red.

    If the red alone goes in (as in this case), that scores 1 point. Similarly, if the green alone goes in, that would be 1 point. Had both balls been potted, you would have scored 2 points.

        Well thx for the replys i thought it was a legal shot but i was just checking
        old enough to know whats its all about, too old to actually do it.....
