Looks like you've missed this out Richard, it's been a very big thing in snooker over the past decade or more. Stephen Feeney is the guy who invented the concept and it helped the likes of Stuart Bingham and Mark Williams to win World titles.

They don't give much away online, most people realise Feeney himself is the one that's provided the best coaching to help these players and that the sightright alignment aids are only really useful as part of the overall package.

Heres the blurb from the web - http://sightrightuk.com/snooker.php#...ye%20dominance.

In addition to CCs post, SightRight has several training aids and they also add (remove) parts of the cue.
See Martin Gould's "old" cue image here, that shows the lines for assisting sighting alignment. Not sure if Martinis still using this cue? Anyone

Yes never heard of it. It could be the best thing ever and is obviously not free. I am always sceptical about things like this until I actually know exactly what is involved and I am to old to worry about it and skint lol.
As it happens I have just put a new topic on here on this very issue. I know there are old posts in here with the same subject but it’s always interesting to hear peoples thoughts etc.
          Thanks mate πŸ‘

            Thanks Dean.
Not sure I understand the adding or removing parts to or from the cue?

It looks like they dig out a slot into the cue at two levels (one lower than the other) with a white line that appears connected and straight when you are sighting correctly down the cue.

Not necessarily an "in-play" aid but a "in-practise" aid to aligning yourself with the line of the cue

Not too far removed from the old spitting image of Steve Davis when he had a telescope sight on his cue

Brilliant stuff. Barry Hearn is hilarious too. Steve β€œvery good” Davis. πŸ˜‚

A guy I know and play with sometimes, had a 1-1 session with Stephen Feeney on Friday down at Frames in Coulsdon. He had found the session very productive and it's taken a day or two to process all the data but seeing him play it looks like it helped his focus on each shot. (he's a makes a Ton here and there but quite regular 70's)

Anyway I didn't push him for answers on what Feeney told him to do, seems it's complex and tailored to each individual to some extent. I also got the feeling there may be some form of non disclosure when you take these sessions directly with Feeney, so was curious if anyone else had that experience?
