So trying to create a time without using the watch is not as easy as I thought. First step is to create a time count on the tap of the finger. I am aiming to get 0.70 - 0.79 seconds per each tap! Once I have achieved a rating of 90% or more I can move to the next step and synchronise my arm feather.

Concentration is so important here and best time to try something like this is as early as possible ideally 5:30 am (providing a good sleep taken place). Also listening to binaural beats of 40Hz helps with concentration and learning so combining this into the routine is likely to see an improvement.

Unfortunately I couldn’t get up that early today but didn’t stop me do some “finger tapping” (my terminologies are definitely for the circus) exercises this morning (attached a quick video with my time lap)

After 1,000 reps I managed the following

    Between 0.70 - 0.79 = 61.6%
    Between 0.80 - 0.89 = 33.7%

Both combined combined at 95.3% which would be perfect if both were within the same range. Will continue to work on that and hopefully get there. Will report progress accordingly

Excellent , thanks for your update .

Out of interest , what finger do you find is best for implementing the ‘finger tap’ ?. I never thought of combining a tap with a feather for timing .
No wonder Tony Meo’s cue action was all over the place ..

A great small kit for vascular forearm is a finger strengthener which I’ve ordered from Amazon for £9 and have arrived.

You can watch the type of exercise on the YouTube and I will be doin this daily 10/15 minutes on both hands.

This thread is unbelievably good viewing, it's made lunchtime at work fun! Are you talking about putting a deliberate finger tap into your pre shot routine to help with feathering timings? Unusual theory and I can't really see how your scientific approach is going to help with feel, are you not worried you're just going to become more robotic?
No doubt you'll argue muscle memory will be formed from repetition of whatever technique you implement.

          I prefer to go with 0.685 > 0.753. +/- 0.001

I find this to be just right for my cue action! Tom what do you think mate? I know you play a little quicker than me…

Well, the shows never over until the results are in! Personally I'm fascinated to see the end game here, and am rooting for overspent, (sorry wrong anagram) to pull this off and show us all how it's done.
