Does Golfy know you are back from the hospital? I'll ring the old people's home and see if we can get him out of the coma.⚪ 🔴🟡🟢🟤🔵💗⚫🕳️😎

What drill? Mate… I hate to break it to you but coaches have been using that two red gap to the cue ball for straight cueing ‘drill’ since the dawn of time. Nothing new there I’m afraid. And as for your ghost ball cue action and letting gravity take over, you’ve basically just describing a normal follow through! Either that or the cue has now speared poor old John on the table next door as gravity has pulled it straight from your grip!
So what’s next? I’m waiting for the book launch! I mean you’ve been at it a week now surely it’s time to write a book on the subject.Last edited by Danger Steve; 11 March 2022, 01:56 PM.

Isn't everyone "hitting air" one balls distance before the cue ball?
im not quite sure what's being said here, so perceived wisdom is you accelerate through the cue ball but Never stop says you accelerate up to a balls width before the cue ball, then hit air, after that I've no idea what's meant to happen. Am I anywhere near right? This is how you play darts ,MVG two nines in the same match!

Unfortunately being an "annoyance" is not against the rules

I get what you are saying but cueing like that , imo,you are in danger of deceleration, which is a big no no in snooker. I also think you are confusing hitting the cue ball and cueing through it. When you time a shot well you hardly feel the cue ball on your cue but you can use half the effort of hitting at the ball and get twice the reaction.
i would suggest imagining a ball behind the cue ball and making that the place to push the cue through to, while keeping the grip relaxed, see what you think of that. This is how you play darts ,MVG two nines in the same match!
