    Tie his shoe laces together!!!

Just dont worry about his game and concentrate on what your doing, too many people play their oponent and not the balls, when you learn to do this the other way around your game will improve a hell of a lot.

Its difficult to try and slow down an opponent because if they are good enough it won't really bother them. Only if they are weak mentally will it have any kind of positive effect for you. In fact you are more likely to damage your own game by trying to counter his, play your own pace and just accept he's a quick player who can pot. The only thing I would do is walk around the table a bit and study the situation more, it will help your rhythm and slow him down slightly.

I guess Peter Ebdon would know the answer

And I would agree with what Boy Wonder says, definitely try to concentrate at your game as much as you can

Its a bit like asking how does one speed up a slow player,
          what does it matter!

Just play what is in front of you, again does it matter how quick the
balls got there? you are playing the table not a person,
I am sure your shot selection will never be based on the speed
of the player or even how good that player might be.

I would expect you to play the same shots against me as you
          would against ROS.

As a quick player i think you have a poor attitude. That's my opinion. If you spent the time practicing, potting, break building etc. rather than looking for under handed tactics, you'd have no need to slow him down.. If he doesn't line up a shot or take much time over the ball i imagine he's not the most consistant. It's a gentleman's game at the end of the day! Concentrate on your own game man!

Hi Khizar! Don't worry about the factors that are beyond your control,Believe in your ability and hard work that you have put in.If you try irritating your opponent you will end up ruining your rythm and composure.
All the best for your match!

whether he plays fast or slow shouldn't really be your concern. This shouldn't affect your playing abilities.

Howerver, I would probably test his abilities of potting long distance shots. If he's fast, his long pot percentage might not be superb, and that's where you might look for your chance to secure the frame on a missed pot.

If he's fast, it could also mean that he's impatient. Therefore, I'd try with a bit more of tactical play, get the white ball safe behind the baulk line and see how that goes. That might break his concentration.

But you shouldn't look for a win on opponent's mistakes. If he does make mistakes, that might be your chance, but you still have to play as good as possible and don't rely on his mistakes purely. But if anything starts going wrong, like your potting percentage going down, try a bit of tactical play if you're good at it, make him a bit nervous.

Go for the knees Khizzy... the knees!

... (little Tonya Harding joke) of course I mean psychologically.

Snooker is a massively emotionally demanding and mentally strategic sport.
It's at least half the battle... and very much worth pondering.

Did you see the Masters final frame?
The score 16-16 for 7 minutes 31 seconds... safety, safety, safety.
Then one rushed (maybe frustrated) long red attempt and miss by Selby and that was that!
That process muted someone's potting rhythm and it wasn't Ronnies. There were references to Cliff Thorburn's grinding strategy...

                    May help? Good luck mate!

                      Exactly, Noel!
                      Safety safety safety!
If he's fast he might be impatient so go for it if anything goes wrong.

Let us know how your match turns out khizzy! Good luck

Thats quite bad sportsmanship imho, I'm quite a quick player myself but never pressure or try to force my opponents to speed up, just to take advantage of their off game style to win.

Just play your best snooker and be happy if you played well, win or lose.

Everyone loses from time to time.
