Hi dear everyone
I have been having this grip alignment issue for along time and yet i am confused to make the proper correction.
when i started snooker like 6 years ago my natural grip wrist position was inwards and i tried my best to make it straight, which at the moment it is almost straight but the thumb is not dead straight i guess.
now i was just thinking that i should have not changed the inwards position, but since i have done it long ago i do not want to go back to grip wrist inwards position, but i miss alot, i mean alot.
the other thing i tried was cocking the wrist even out but i dont know if that is the correct changes to apply right now!
when in address position my thumb is straight to floor and at the end of the delivery the cue is touching the entire palm of the hand. but i watched most good players and even pros their grip looks different in address position and also after the delivery. i have attached a picture of jack lisowski as an example, in the end of his delivery , his cue is only thouching the end part of the thumb which is called thenar eminence. and you can see gap between his cue and grip hand ,which means his grip alignment is different ( most century break players look the same)
i am just thinking maybe i am not holding the cue properly, i do no have issue with the grip itself, but the way i hold the cue, like lets say at the end of my delivery, my entire pinky finger is touching the cue but
pros pinky finger position is different at the end of the delivery, i guess just the tip of the pinky finger is touching the cue and there is a big gap between the cue and top part of the pinky finger.
its hard to explain but looking at the picture that i shared here might give you an idea of what i mean
maybe i put the cue either too much in the middle of fingers or finger tips. i just feel that i have a bad grip alignment.
seriously i miss medium to long balls by 10-30 inches. i feel bad very bad
expecting a bit of help from you wonderful people
thank you heaps
