  • Always Twitching

    Hello,

I have a problem of always twitching outside (right handed player) so unintentional left side.

Now for me the strange part is that i only have this when playing a pot. If i play up and down the spots with only the cueball or practice on baulk line i can cue perfectly straight.

I've tried everything to fix it without succes.

    Thanks

Hi, I'm new to this forum, is there a section to ask about snooker rules, as I have one about a free ball which came up in a match last night.

Is it a snatchy twitch or a steering twitch? First one lighten your grip all the way through, second one, well works for both, take your concentration off potting the ball and onto delivering the cue nicely straight down the line, that's why you can play up and down the spots ok. Stay as still as you can, I mean really, really still, only forearm moving and grip opening and closing, deliver that cue with a nice smooth tempo, even power shots are the same tempo, just with a longer backswing. Finish at the chest, not thumping into it, you are over cueing things if you thump into your chest.
          Hope that helps a bit.
