Understanding throw

Hi all

I have a titanium ferrule and a medium hard pressed tip. Prior to this I used laminated super soft or medium.

Really enjoying the new challenges but hoping someone can show me a quicker route to digest..

How do you judge spin / cut induced throw?

I am getting hardly any deflection unless it a very extreme side shot. Medium paced shots I know I contact the OB with CB where intended but seem to miss a lot thick when using minimum helping side. When hit harder with more power, there's no issues.

Any tips / videos to help break it down?

Learn by doing. Get half an hour to yourself and really test what you think is happening and measure that against your results.

In my opinion, most of the time the conditions we all have to play in (damp cloths, dirty balls, finger marks) make these finer points of the game not worth knowing.

My advice would be to work out your own understanding of it through testing out the shots. Your own conclusions you gain from playing will serve you better than anything you will read.
