Just noticed this today, sometimes when I strike the ball, the cue ball does a small little hop off the table. Is that normal?

If you see slo-mo videos of snooker balls, in nearly every type of shot the cue ball and object ball will come off the cloth; usually though it is barely perceptible.
Here's hoping a coach will come on and explain what could be going on with your cue deliveryUp the TSF! :snooker:

One tip I got some years ago was when about to deliver the cue was to imagine the cue ball was NOT there and to (imagine) hit the aim point on the back of the object ball with the tip of your cue; two-fold gain is a smoother delivery and straighter delivery of cue. May work for you :shrug:Up the TSF! :snooker:
