I’m having trouble with my cue butt being inconsistent; it shifts to the left or right at times. The only slight improvement I’ve noticed is when I try to follow Kyron and Neil Robertson's method, by holding the cue butt and grip hand close to my hip and aligning the cue tip with the line of aim while standing, making sure the cue butt is on line. However, the cue butt is still often offline.
I’ve also tried holding the cue butt and grip hand over my right foot while standing, then aligning the cue tip with the line of aim and walking in. This feels better than my usual approach, but I still need help to make it more consistent.
Additionally, I tried walking in, getting down, and only then bringing the cue on line. This method is slightly better than my natural walking-in technique, but the cue butt still drifts offline to the right. When I walk in, my heel naturally moves to the left, which causes the cue butt to shift offline to the left as well.
It’s been really challenging for me to consistently align the cue with the line of aim, so any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you so much for your help!
