I hope he does well Roy thanks, I gotta give a bloke called Mick Caddy a call monday to see about the coaching for him but i have no idea how much it will cost. Anyone heard of him or had any coaching from him?

Ha ha nice one, thing is he's already made his millions and is quite a bit younger than me too for that matter....
I think im running out of time

I have given up on being a good match player long ago but i started playing again for enjoyment with my son, so i am satisfied if i get in the 20s now and again, i still get a buzz. I was at the local club last week and saw Stuart Pettman in a club match, i only saw him from the last red and clean all the colours up he was inch perfect and super smooth :snooker: to be that good would be nice but its never going to happen players like that have raw talent, add loads of practice and your lucky to to get a sniff of a pro ranking.

        I still love it tho

I am not a big master of snooker but i have had a few near centuries all i can say is go to the club and spread the balls around the table and start potting the worst thing u can do is miss balls once u got the confidence that u can pot balls you can start with lining up the balls on the table and go towards positioning of cue ball if u spending money on coaching its upto you but the begining part is something u should be able to do it urself no need for a coach but thats just my opinion i look at it this way as long as i can hit a 50 once in few frames i am happy with that i would look at coaching if i wanna get better than that.

This is what i did today before reading your post, you are bang on right!!!
I just spread the balls all over the table and started potting anything after a while i was potting 3 out of 4 balls and had a run of 11 together. i must admit it has given me loads of new confidence even long ones were going in :snooker::snooker:

Thats the best thing u can do to gain some confidence one of the good exercise for long pot is to put a ball just above the blue pot as many of the clubs got a bit of dent on the spot and sometimes the balls jusp so just a bit above the spot and put the cue ball close to the corner pocket and try and pot the ball in the other corner pocket and once u gained the confidence line up is one of the best practice for someone who is wants to start positioning.
