    hi im quite new to snooker i can do screw and top very well can get plenty of screw back etc but i cant seem to get the hand off stun best way to learn this?
    whenever i do it the white either pulls back or follows the object ball

    Well, the only thing you have to do is to make sure the cue-ball has no
    rotation on impact. The effect depends on three things:

    1. Distance to object ball
    2. Strength of shot
    3. Heigth of the tip on impact

    There are nearly infinite combinations of strength and where you hit the cue-
    ball for any distance between cue and object balls.

    The further away the object ball, the lower OR harder you have to hit the
    cue-ball. If you do hit it lower and harder, you'll get screw. Whereas if you
    hit it too high OR too soft, you'll get follow. After all it's just a matter of
    practise.
